What ignited your interest in education? I started “teaching” my baby dolls when I was old enough to talk, so my interest in education began early! I have been passionate about educating ever since, and I have had some awesome opportunities to serve the community college system in Mississippi. What is the best advice you can give to someone who is teaching online for the first time? My best advice to someone teaching online for the first time is to begin simple. Meet the basic standards for your institution and create a plan for what you will add over time. Typically, it will take three to four semesters before you feel like your content is where it needs to be. Map out your first four semesters with goals for improvement of your online content, and change your goals if needed as you receive student feedback.

It really doesn’t matter which beach as long my family is with me. My two little ones love to play in the sand, splash in the waves, and find seashells.
