6. Open Forum 1. SmarterProctoring Settings (Second Camera Requirement) - ICC o Ms. Denise Gillespie (ICC) reported completing an onboarding meeting with Smarter Proctoring. o ICC has historically used ProctorU only as a last resort. o ICC requested enforcement of a second camera requirement and provided their institutional script to Smarter Proctoring. o ICC will send an email to host students at the start of classes: o The message will come from the Student Experience Coordinator / E-Learning Advisor. o Students will be reminded that ICC requires in person proctoring, regardless of the policies of their home institution. o Students must follow the course calendar and syllabus and plan accordingly for in-person proctoring. o ICC policy will require in-person proctoring, and will work with students with: o Out-of-state residency o Medical accommodations o Military deployment o A technical limitation within Smarter Proctoring was noted: o Proctoring settings follow the student , not the course. o This conflicts with ICC’s published course policies , which require students to follow the host institution’s procedures . o ICC emphasized that free in-person proctoring is available statewide and students will be reminded to plan accordingly. o Smarter Proctoring will be used only when accommodations are required , aligning with the approach taken by many institutions. o Ms. Michele Mitchell (PRCC) o Virtual proctoring is not permitted for courses hosted by other institutions (e.g., ICC) due to compatibility issues. o Ms. Buffy Matthews (MGCC) mentioned that students can still schedule virtual proctoring due to
