o Ms. Denise Gillespie (ICC) mentioned that virtual proctoring has created policy conflicts . o Ms. Denise Gillespie mentioned that an email template has been drafted to notify students of proctoring requirements upfront . o Students unwilling to comply with virtual proctoring requirements will be advised to contact their advisor to adjust their schedule . o The approach is intended to remain student centered . o Ms. Buffy Matthew (MGCC) suggested that students formally acknowledge their understanding of proctoring requirements. ▪
Ms. Denise Gillespie (ICC) mentioned that courses include an elearning orientation quiz : • Question two states: “I understand that in-person monitoring is required.” • While students select “yes,” behavior does not always align with acknowledgment.
o It was mentioned that a comprehensive list of institutions and their proctoring allowances is needed.

2. Proctoring Standards Evaluation – PRCC
o A review of the PMP highlighted an existing policy requiring colleges to ensure that proctoring centers maintain adequate hours of operation and appropriate resources. o Questions were raised regarding whether colleges are still required to provide specific software programs for students from other institutions, even when different tools are used locally. o An example was given of a Jones College student testing at another institution . o Additional discussion noted that due to the close proximity of Pearl River, Jones College, and Gulf Coast, students frequently travel between institutions for testing, increasing the need for clarity and consistency.
