Dr. LeBrun asked Michelle Mitchell if we need to vote on that separately from the overall policies and procedures document. Michelle Mitchell, PRCC, stated, " Yes. " She stated that a motion needs to be made to vote on the actual framework document because we don’t have this right now. So, she mentioned that we are actually voting on the entire document, not just the changes. Van Morse, MGCCC, made the motion to move that we, as a collective body, accept the changes made to the Governance Framework. Dr. Christa Wilhite, MCCB, read, motion read approve the proposed MCCB Contractual Governance Framework as part of the Policies and Procedures, are separate? She asked the group how they would like it to be motions? Buffy Matthews, MGCCC, mentioned that she thinks it needs to be separate because then we would approve it being added to the PMP in a separate vote. Kim Harris, NECC, mentioned that she had gone through the document. It is very detailed, and I do appreciate the level of detail included. However, I do feel it may be somewhat overwhelming for our organization, particularly since it incorporates some MCCB procedures as well. She mentioned that she understands the need for structure and safeguards, and she agrees that those are important. She said she wondered whether there is a provision that allows for emergencies. Specifically, was there language that addressed urgent needs that may not fit within the established timeline. Her concern was that while the framework provides strong guardrails, it may also limit the ability to respond quickly if an unexpected need arises. Erin Richardson, MCC, seconded the motion. Dr. Christa Wilhite, MCCB, stated approve propose government framework.
