Sandy’s peers nominated her based on several criteria, specifi- cally, her positive “can-do” attitude, her commitment to quality and her dedication to facilitating partnerships both statewide and nationally. She is described as “very passionate about stu- dents and has a fantastic work ethic, often burning the midnight oil.” “Sandy thinks outside the box, provides support to her team and manages many different personalities very well.” Sandy has been with MCCB for nine years. Most recently, Sandy accepted a new role in the agency as Assistant Executive Direc- tor for Workforce Education, Career and Technical Education, Office of Curriculum and Instruction and Adult Education.
