The outbreak of COVID-19 caused a global disruption impacting lives, daily living, workforce, and the econo- my. This outbreak altered operations causing many to restructure policy, procedure, and simple day-to-day tasks. As a result of these unprecedented times, we must continue to address current and futuristic out- comes surrounding this pandemic. As outcomes continue to evolve, ongoing conversations and strategies will need to be explored. While the list below is not exhaustive, other areas need to be addressed as well. Each topic provides opportunities to exchange information about challenges, solutions, recommendations, and initiatives regarding the impact of COVID-19. Below you will find some areas that can create internal and external dialogue with the agency.
Educating and training workers Increasing student success Increasing dual enrollment
Enhancing the transfer student process
Closing the equity gap
Streamlining pathways to education (corrections/prison education, veteran education programs)
Increasing the pipeline for apprenticeships Mental health and tele-mental health services

Emergency response and communication plans
Critical conversations targeting the implications of this outbreak are necessary with all stakeholders because it ultimately affects current and future emerging trends. Although we do not know when this new normal will end, we must continue to take an active approach to ensure we fulfill our mission and advance our state.
