A message from Cynthia Jiles, Assistant Executive Director, Human Resources “Say simply...with hope, good morning.” Maya Angelou F our months into 2021 and we can fully admit that this will also be a uniquely challenging year. Thankfully, through great leadership we remain committed to a safe working environment while continuing to service our community. Thank you, Dr. Mayfield, for the strategic implementation of the hybrid work arrangement. We have truly benefited both physically and mentally from this safety precaution and our evolved progressive work culture. I also want to particularly thank our IT Division. IT is charged with op- erationalizing our new normal and securing our expanded parameter of work. We were able to adjust and seamlessly connect with each other and our statewide partners. Thank you Ray, Ive, and Tina. We are ex- tremely grateful for you and your commitment in the daily discharge of your duties. Thank you Purchasing and eLearning, for enabling our flexibility through your responsiveness and implementation of innovative technological tools. These tools have accelerated our agency’s workflow and stream- lined crossflow communication efforts. Much has been learned in this push forward. We are all learning as we go and one thing is clear. The office has forev- er changed. So, we would like to thank each of you as members of the MCCB team. It is our extreme pleasure to write this playbook together. We are honored to serve, empowered even, to forge ahead confident that our collaborative endeavors will advance Mississippi’s workforce. We ea- gerly look forward to continuing our efforts into 2021 and beyond, and we hope that you share in our excitement and celebrate this vision.
