*Effective 5/1/2020, Cosmetology and Barber required course hours were reduced from 1500 hours to 1000 hours. The change in the Cosmetology hours was a legislative change (HB 2847) and the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation adopted amendments to Administrative Code 82.120 to reduce the Barber hours.

*Effective 9/1/2021, the Instructor and Wig Specialist licenses were eliminated as the result of legislative change (HB 1560).
