Workplace Safety Commitment to Safety (See safety IPM – appendix of IPM manual)
Protecting the safety of MCCB employees and visitors is the most important aspect of running this agency.
All employees have the opportunity and responsibility to contribute to a safe work environment by using commonsense rules and safe practices and by notifying management when any health or safety issues are present. All employees are encouraged to partner with management to ensure maximum safety for all.
In the event of an emergency, notify the appropriate emergency personnel by dialing 911 to activate the medical emergency services.
BUILDING ACCESS
All employees are to use their individual badges to gain access to the building. It is a violation of procedure to hold the door for another person to enter the premises. Anyone not carrying an entrance badge may enter after being confirmed by security. Building security is located on the 1 st floor of the building.
PARKING ON CAMPUS
Staff parking is restricted to the outer street-lanes surrounding the building and the parking lot located to the south of the courtyard with the exception of assigned parking in the basement parking garage. MCCB staff is not permitted to park in the upper north-facing parking lot in front of the building as those spaces are reserved for visitors, board members, and special needs parking.
See MCCB Policy 3.4
