MELA Meeting Minutes 2003 - 2017

The committee developed a Core Course evaluation. The purpose of this evaluation is to make sure that all ELCs are using the same evaluation when evaluating online courses. An example of the evaluation is located in the Community site. The committee would like for the group to provide suggestions and comments about the evaluation. The group will need to decide if this evaluation is something that all ELCs should be using to evaluate all online courses. This evaluation will also need to be approved by the group. The committee discussed getting rid of the Supervisor Evaluation, because no one is using it. The ELCs agreed. Also the committee suggested that a notification be sent to the online students requesting that they evaluate their online courses. It was suggested sending out a system-wide notification using the students’ email addresses in the Enrollment Tool. No decision was made on how to notify the students about course evaluations.
