Approval of February 2014 Minutes. Keri Cole made the motion to accept minutes; Elizabeth Spooner seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Unfinished Business a. Schools that voted for AspireEDU should discuss with their presidents about the controversy of the purchase and what the benefits of the product are.

MCCB Business

a. eBooks—Invoicing of Students i. Co-Lin contacted Audra about how colleges were getting paid for other colleges utilizing their eBooks in pulled-in courses. The concern is that off-site students are not incurring charges. 1. Audra responded to Co-Lin that they could invoice the student, but the student may never pay because they would already have access to the textbook in the course. ii. Krista stated that she has it written into the contract with Pearson and some other textbook publishers that MCC will not incur charges for non-MCC students. iii. Audra stated that colleges that are using eBooks should gather more information from their institutions about how to deal with this issue. b. Marketing i. Audra shared the site: www.accreditedonlinecolleges.org 1. Audra stated that not every college is promoting their online programs, and each college should look at how they are promoting online programs. Mississippi Delta is on this website, but many others are not. ii. Maris West and Baker 1. In our last meeting we went over the proposal from Maris West and Baker. Many were concerned with the pricing and thought something could be created as a collaborative effort internally. 2. Keri offered her media department and graphic designers at Hinds to work on the marketing campaign for MSVCC. A committee was constructed from multiple colleges to create a unified message for the MSVCC. Those colleges to collaborate are: Northwest, Itawamba, Hinds, PRCC, MGCCC, and Coahoma. a. A meeting will be scheduled for next month. i. Control Dates and Continuous Dates Recommendation 1. The calendar committee is working on the calendar through December 2017. They are working on 15-week and 8-week terms first, before adding in 4-week terms. There must be control dates for the new ET to be automated. 2. Audra e-mailed a “Mini-Term Days” document to determine the census and withdrawal dates for the mini terms. After talking with Ive and the c. Mini-Terms
