VI.

New Business a. Sub-committee update (Michele Mitchell)

i. With an addition of new ELCs there is a need to update committees. Jan, Cynthia, Chris, and Elizabeth will be replaced. ii. Modification of ELC Committee Changes will be e-mailed to the group. iii. Krista LeBrun approved changes. Christa Wilhite seconded. b. ELC Bootcamp – Information and Request for “Boot Camp” Name change (Krista LeBrun) i. Krista LeBrun made the motion of using “ELearning Association Retreat” instead of using the word “Bootcamp”. Phyllis Johnson seconded. ii. Krista will send a formal invitation by e-mail for registration. The “Retreat” will be September 16-18 through Pearl River Resort – Silverside, in Philadelphia, MS. c. ELC Monthly Meetings – Locations (Krista) i. Krista sent a survey, and as a response many colleges wanted to learn more about the organizational structure of other colleges. As a result, other colleges will present organizational structure at BootCamp. ii. Krista stated that we may want to move the ELC meeting locations around throughout the state and allow colleges to host the meeting if they want. 1. Tish stated that it was a bad idea for a one-day meeting because it would cause some to drive 6+ hours and they would have to stay overnight. This has been tried without success in the past. d. Midterm and Final Testing Dates (Teresa Webster – not present, so Krista LeBrun asked on her behalf) i. Teresa wanted to know if we could we standardize our midterm and final exam dates as the MSVCC. Teresa is seeing an influx of students testing. ELCs suggested that Teresa establish proctored exam dates, and have students make an appointment for testing. More discussion can occur next month when Teresa is present. i. Kimberly asked the group how they approve Off-Campus Proctor Requests. In particular, she wanted to know if they approve of local libraries to administer proctored tests. Some colleges do allow local libraries but others do not. 1. Hinds stated that they conduct a phone interview prior to approving an Off- Campus Proctor request, and they do not approve local libraries. 2. PRCC also does not approve of local libraries, it must be a college, university, or testing center (such as Sylvan Learning Center). e. Off-Campus Proctor Requests (Kimberly)
