A meeting of the Distance Learning Coordinator’s Association was held on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at the State Board for Junior and Community Colleges building in Jackson, MS.

CALL TO ORDER. Andrea Scott called the meeting to order at 10:10 am.

II. The minutes from the association meeting on June 22, 2005 were approved with one amendment. Alicia Shows was not present.

Unfinished business a. Review of last meeting minutes b. D2L Management Training i. Enrollment ii.

Audra Kimble encouraged DLCs to add the Welcome and MSVCC Links widgets to their college home page inside D2L.

c. Consortium Items and Activities i.

Audra Kimble stated that ITS has submitted RFPs for learning management systems so that an "Endorsed Provider List" can be used when selecting a platform for each institution. ii. An RFP has also been sent for a help desk service but will not be able to be put into place by the fall. iii. Audra stated that student purges will be done for D2L and Blackboard on August 11 th . Remind instructors that purge does not affect content. iv. BB update
