f. Safe Assignment Pilot i. Ms. Kimble inquired about the experience with the Safe Assignment pilot. Ms. Kimble used it and found it very useful. Jennifer Leimer asked about using it with D2L. Ms. Kimble said that it could be used by D2L users, but it would not incorporate into the platform. Members agree that with training, it would be worth pursuing a license for MSVCC. Members agreed to wait to see how the problems with the software are resolved and agreed to discuss this further at the next meeting. g. Vendors i. READI: Ms. Kimble asked association members their thoughts about purchasing READI for MSVCC. A general discussion about the experiences of those who have piloted the program occurred. There was very positive feedback about the program. Members agreed that MSVCC should move forward with purchasing the program for use in Summer and Fall registration. Each institution may pay an annual fee of $300-$500 for administrative access. ii. Horizon Wimba and Campus Pack are interested in providing webinars to the association. h. MsBUG – Mississippi Blackboard Users Group i. Each institution is asked to bring three door prizes to the January or February meeting to be given at the MsBug conference. ii. The MsBUG meeting will be held in conjunction with Creating Future Through Technology conference in Biloxi, MS. iii. Registration is $35 i. CFTTC – Creating Futures Through Technology Conference i. The conference will be held at the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort on February 25-27. Registration is $125 if received on or before February 2nd. After February 2 nd , registration is $150. j. Enrollment Tool Updates/Enhancements i. Audra Kimble reported on the following items: 1. Item#1 - Tracking Student Surveys: this item is already live but away students do not display. Members would like to have all users on a roster display. Members would like to see it listed similarly to the Extract Student Email with a drop list to choose the course. 2. Item #2 - View Faculty Evaluations: Members would like to set it so that course evaluation data turns on (for instructors to view) after final grades submission is turned off. Members would like to have the course evaluation data to look like the faculty “Evaluation Results” on the faculty profile where there are links to see Student, Self, and Supervisor evaluations 3. Item #4 – Withdrawn Student Listing…turn off for instructors and ON for DLCs 4. Item #3 – Types of proctored exam added 5. Item #8 – Students with no courses…requested to add print dialog box 6. Item #12 – “Course Id” field on the Master Course Update Form – should show Bb/D2L ID rather than the course identifier from local administrative system 7. Other items: On the student profile (when viewing as a DLC ) permanently is misspelled on the delete student button (Permantly Delete Student). Also at the end of self registration, Successful is misspelled.
