James McMullin provided a handout of changes that will take place at EMCC. (2) Phyllis said that when you are click on Bb help, the audio is not coming through on the video tutorials. Terry said that they do not included audio. The ELTs are hoping to provide better tutorials for the state (3) Phyllis said that they have created a community and wanted to include all the instructors in to the community. They manual add this through the GUI through batch enrollment. (4) Chris asked what the best practice is for course statistics after the student has been withdrawn. Have the problem with past students who state that they’ve never taken the course. Audra said to download the course statistics as a whole, don’t select specific students, and those users will be included in course statistics. (5) Chris said that he had an instructor contact him that had a student in both of my classes, but had not taken proctored exams throughout the semester. He had good grades. The student said, but I’m not going to school this summer and am not enrolled in classes, but the student was receiving a final aid check. We had another person calling that said the other student is requesting the check. (6) Audra said that the calendar noted that no- shows were due on September 12 th . We had set the date of Wednesday, September 10 th to report no-shows to DLCs. (7) Tish said that a couple of the people said that they felt that the MSVCC snapshot was pulling people off of the non-verified list. We need to double check with Ive that this is not occurring. (8) Katie asked if the select the reason for rejection in self enrolled institutions is not working properly. (9) Service Pack 3 is not something that we are considering for Bb. Please do not worry about this at this time. We’ve done enough upgrading in a short period of time. We will talk more as we know more. (10) Proctoring – the higher education act was just passed. There is stipulation that online classes require that the student taking the proctored exam requires that the student require that they verify that you are who you say that you are. Thankfully, this piece of the higher education act was not passed at this time. Right now we are in compliance with the higher education act. This will be pushed over the next few years. (11) FY 2010 we will have some extra money in the MSVCC budget so if there are some software things we may want to look at those things before FY 2010. (12) Customizations have been reapplied. Should have the link by 2:00 or 3:00 this afternoon. Should have Bb up and running by 8:00a.m. (13) If add/drop before/after the add drop period, work with DLCs to let them know of the changes. (14) Julia asked that those that brought handouts, email those to her so that she can add them to the Community site.
