iv. Audra Leverton made the motion for system administrators at SBCJC to have the rights to change email prioritization. Jackie Bailey-Hall seconded the motion. The motion carried. d. OTHER i. Patches were added to the Gradecenter in Blackboard; however there will be continued issues until we upgrade to service pack three. At this time, we are not planning to upgrade to service pack three until summer 2009. ii. There seems to be an issue with emailed announcements from within the course. Some individuals are receiving those and others are not. Christian has already discussed this issue with Phil Cunningham. iii. Christian stated that he has been very impressed with Jim Wohlford. He has a tremendous amount of experience that he brings to the table from outside of Blackboard. Jim mentioned that would like to build a program that would allow us to trouble shoot potential issues before we send up snapshot files to be processed. . iv. Jennifer Leimer stated that the ability to run snapshot processes prior to the start of the semester helped tremendously. We were able to resolve any issues before courses began. Terry Pollard covered the Best Practices Report (handout provided to the group). Please refer to the handout for detailed information. ii. Please note that Item a. v. has the incorrect date. Dr. Renee Gammill will be presenting at the MBEA conference on Friday, September 19 th . iii. All winning proposals from the current year are asked to present before January 2009. iv. Next year they will be accepting additional discipline proposals for the AT&T Grant. Those disciplines will include science, math, etc. The call for proposals will be sometime late fall. Decision will be made on the proposals mid-spring. Everyone should have received the registration and hotel information after the August workshop. If you have not completed your registration and hotel reservation, please do so as soon as possible. ii. Audra would like to know if the association would prefer to hold the October DLC meeting on Monday, October 6 th or Tuesday, October 7 th . The meeting will be held during the pizza party between 4:30 and approximately 6:00p.m. She will send out an email poll. iii. Jennifer Leimer would like to remind everyone that if you are unable to attend the rest of boot camp it is imperative to have someone present on Wednesday, October 8 th ! We will be updating the Policies and Procedures manual. All decisions require a 2/3 vote. We will have a few vendors present at boot camp, but also have a lot of business to cover.
