Unfinished Business

No unfinished business was covered during this session.

New Business

Outside Partnerships – MSVCC is not seeking to partner with additional colleges. Universities have been contacting Christian. He is working on an official partnership agreement. Currently, the only agreements are with University of Southern Mississippi at 150 seats and Jackson State University at 50 seats. The eLCs asked to be notified when a new partnership is being considered. The group requested that USM, JSU and any other partner be required to follow the same policies regarding students with disabilities, use the same software, and follow the proctoring guidelines. Their proctors will need to sign the confidentiality statement. It was suggested that the partnered colleges have a nonvoting representative at the eLC meeting and that they be provide a copy of the Policies and Procedures Manual.

ET How-To Manual – There is not an official manual for eLCs. This is a part of the Strategic plan. Chris Square will inquire about the document that Andrea Mayfield had created. Buffy Mathews will post the MS Gulf Coast MSVCC faculty handbook on the community site.

SBCJC Business

The SBCJC name will change to MS Community College Board on July 1 st .
