2011 – June eLearning Coordinators Association Minutes Thursday, June 16, 2011

Prior to the meeting being called to order, the eLCs participated in a training session with Presidium, the 24/7 helpdesk provider.

A regular meeting of the eLearning Coordinators Association was held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the McGowan Center of Holmes Community College, Ridgeland, MS. The president and secretary were present. A quorum being established, Jennifer Powell called the meeting to order at 1:13 p.m. Audra Leverton moved to approve the agenda. The motion was seconded and carried. Audra Leverton moved to approve the minutes with necessary corrections. The motion was seconded and carried.

No unfinished business was discussed at this meeting.

New Business

Accelerated Schedules and Other Items for CAOs – Alicia Shows provided a proposed accelerated course schedule. (See Attachment) Some changes will need to be made to the Enrollment Tool to create uniform short term schedules. Currently, there is only one audit date. From the Enrollment Tool, eLCs are not able to determine which courses are short termed. Jennifer Leimer moved to approve the accelerated course schedule to be presented to the Academic Deans. The motion was seconded and carried.

Audit Dates – Beverlin Givens stated that the audit cutoff date for the summer is June 17 th . Hopefully, the new audit system will be in place for the fall. eLCs will have training before the system goes live.
