out if they are interested in teaching online (it will be similar to monsters.com) and the ELCs will be able to see those individuals that would like to teach and pull their information. The emphasis of the site is on the colleges. The colleges’ logos are placed at the bottom of the screen. Christian asks that the ELCs provide feedback to Akiah and the Technology Subcommittee. f. eAudit and LDA Discussion. There have been issues concerning the LDAs that are posted within the Enrollment Tool. The correct LDA is not being recorded by the hosted college and so the instructor from the provider college is signing an audit roster with an incorrect LDA. It is important that the instructors check the dates before signing. The instructor is the knowledge expert on when the students completed their work and so that is the LDA we must use. Contact Christian if there is an issue a date being posted incorrectly.

g. Bootcamp. Bootcamp will be held on September 25-27 at the Horseshoe Casino, Tunica. The room will cost $59 per night.

h. Non-Disclosure Agreement for the RFP. ELCs must sign a nondisclosure form in order to read the RFP that was created for the LMS. The form will need to be signed and email to Donna in ITS. The target date for the RFP release is August 7 th . The LMS Committee is looking for the vendor that best meets the need of the group. The ELCs will be allowed to pick 15-20 instructors that will be part of evaluating the LMSs that are selected. The instructors will also need to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The tentative date for evaluation is September 18- Oct. 30 th . The evaluation results will be collect on November 2 nd and a written recommendation will be presented to the Presidents at their November 8 th meeting.

Sharing Circle

a. Sharing time about the Blackboard World Conference. Coming soon is the Voice of the Active Learner and Blackboard Collaborate Mobile. Faculty and student training materials can be viewed at swbts.edu. Educational videos are available at khanacademy.org. A product of Respondus and ProctorU allows students to proctor at home using a webcam. Christian would like for those that attend the conference and State Board paid your registration fee, to email a thank you to Eric Clark at Eclark@mccb.edu . b. JCJC @ August Meeting

Open Forum a. Christian will be on vacation next week.

b. MOOC-Massively Open Online Course. MOOC is becoming a popular thing. The MOOC provides chunks of content that is available to students. They are also able to get a degree. c. University of Phoenix model. The reason University of Pheonix can provide more customer service is because they a lot of money to help fund those services. There are so many factors to consider when having an open entry-open exit policy including integrity, quality, SACS,
