iv. Smarthinking v. Smartermeasure-LTI available Akiah has the information and will share with us vi. NBC Learn vii. NeTutor webinar on April 5 at 10:00am f. ET: Start production on April 8 th and will be concluded by April 22 nd . We can test out a student after April 22 for either Spring or Summer. Akiah will confirm student test after production is finalized. g. We will get error report messages from Canvas. Send Akiah the email address your school wants error messages sent to. h. ET data information will stay the same as before. BB and D2L option will disappear and Canvas will be the only option. Course ID field disappearing? Questions about merging courses? Ive and Akiah will speak with Canvas since there is some confusion in terminology. i. Courses built in ET—those should be fine and no changes needed per Ive. Course ID field in ET determines where the enrollments go to inside of Canvas. A section ID field will need to be added to ET to further qualify where courses will go into Canvas. i. To Check: sections file-course ID and sections ID should match in the sections file. If they do, then we do not need to add another field in ET. Each college needs to check this as soon as possible. ii. Standard and Batch mode for enrollment process. ET side will use standard term ID. Traditional side Term ID will change. Will need a 5 digit term code and terms must match up with the TERM IDs according to what Ive is using at the state department. For traditional courses our Term would come from our SIS and for online it would be SPRING20133, FALL20142, SUMMER20141—Ive will share this process with IT at next week’s meeting. iii. Ive will go over all IT information with the IT departments next week on the coast. iv. Is ET going to run in Batch or Standard mode? It will run in standard so that we can disable enrollment. Ive will send them up as deleted. Student will disappear from the course. But at local level we can rein able them to see their work. We can manually enable them to see their work and LDA. Files will be sent three times a day. v. Ive will speak with the IT folks next week to look at Batch upload process so that ELCs don’t have to duplicate building in the ET. Hope to have the batch process in place for Spring. j. BB Collaborate: Showed how to use in Canvas—Can add as an external tool instead of having on the navigation bar. Questions on where we want it to display within Canvas. Questions about how to get items from BB into Cnvas. Collaborate is researching how to get voice content. We would like it to display under the conferences tab. k. Voice Authoring: voice boards, podcasting, and presenter are available in the LTI. Voice email could be used outside of the LMS. Audio in email is available through the LMS from Canvas. Voice authoring and collaborate are two separate LTIs. State level could load LTI. If colleges want to load independently then each college will need the shared secret and key to load. Documentation will be provided on how to implement within Canvas. l. BB Collaborate and voice is compatible with IE, Chrome, etc. current issue with Safari but should be resolved by the time we go live m. BBIM: no LTI. BB is going to build a piece that will allow us to interact similar to what we are used to now. One school shared tab, this will allow us for cross collaboration. Contacts tab will remain those accounts will remain. May need to link old account to new account. Need file format to send for BB to have integration with the LTI and BB Voice/Collaborate authoring. Will need to get data feeds from IT and Ive to BBIM in order to have interaction between each
