iii. Jennifer Sumerel stated that ICC expressed that they would like for everyone to come together and then have breakout groups (financial aid, business office, IT, eLearning, etc.) so that everyone could discuss what the other schools are planning to do regarding mini terms. All ELCs were in agreement that this collaboration is needed before mini terms are in session. 1. Jennifer James will check on availability at the Muse Center and will e-mail the group. The meeting will tentatively be set for sometime in mid- to late- April. More information will be sent out regarding specifics. 2. Schools should ask support services which items they would like to discuss in the mini-term support services meeting. 3. Tish stated that we really need to talk about the new ET again, and one breakout session at the meeting could be about the new ET. i. Shannell Frazier stated that she was reconciling her rosters and noticed one of her students was in a speech course offered by Northeast. Shannell only pulls in courses offered by Northwest. On the Course Offerings list, the class is not there. Kimberly stated that she had the same situation with a student at PRCC. Audra stated that JCJC had the issue also, but State Board does not know how it is happening. i. Phyllis is interested in getting 8-week courses going at Northwest. She asked the group what the pros and cons were. 1. Michele Mitchell explained that it has really helped PRCC with late registration, and getting students into classes later during the semester who may have failed or withdrawn. 2. Tish explained that her college is worried about paying a teacher to teach a second-short term II class for short-term I students who didn’t succeed. a.
