Krista LeBrun made the motion to accept agenda with above changes; Christa Wilhite seconded the motion. Motion carried.
III.
Approval of July 2015 Minutes. Jennifer Leimer stated that the wording “Or as … approved by the CLO ” on page 3, section C should be added.
Jennifer James made the motion to accept minutes with the above change; Keri Cole seconded the motion. Motion carried.
IV.
Unfinished Business
a. New Officer Election
i. Secretary – Christa Wilhite (only nomination) – Approved. ii. President Elect – Buffy Matthews (only nomination) – Approved.
b. ELC Association Name Change
i. eLearning Coordinator Association name changed to “MSVCC eLearning Association” or “MELA” for short. This change is because the association is composed of all eLearning personnel, not just eLearning Coordinators anymore.
Krista LeBrun made the motion to change the name; Keri Cole seconded the motion. Motion carried.
V.
MCCB Business – Audra Kimble a. Zoom
i. Audra e-mailed 3 training videos to the Zoom Project Lead for each school. These are also posted in the Files area of the eLearning Association Community in Canvas. ii. The contract for the Canvas integration is hung up in finance – will take about 2 weeks. iii. When we transitioned to the paid pilot, existing Zoom contacts disappeared. Audra sent out directions to add users to your Zoom contact list. You can add anyone to your contact list through an e-mail invitation. b. SARA i. Audra stated there is no need to write a letter to Dr. Boyce. Dr. Nettles will talk to Dr. Boyce and encourage the SARA portal agency to be developed. ii. Colleges should let their Presidents know about SARA, and encourage them to talk to Dr. Boyce to join SARA.
c. Internet2Day – Thursday, September 17 th at Eagle Ridge
i. Internet2 is a separate Internet from the common Internet that we use, which allows users to prioritize traffic to certain places (to Canvas, Zoom, etc.) To gather more
