Hi Audra,
To be honest I am a bit surprised to hear this as compared to the summer everything seems to be moving smoother at least from our end in the way of support tickets and support requests. I was able to have a good conversation with Shalon on Friday afternoon to discuss some of the issues that she was having. There was one freak issue that looked more serious that it actually was and was due to a Canvas issue. Other than that all of the other issues are issues that were present in the summer that we are actively working to resolve ASAP. Below, please see the issues that we currently know of, the steps that are being taken to resolve them, and the expected time table to completion (The issue is in black and my comments in each are in orange .).
1. SOC2113 OO8 has several issues: The instructor, Rhonda Johnson, is listed as a student; the wrong instructor is listed in SP (John Webb is listed as one of the 5 instructors, and he does not teach this course); about 140 of our instructors are listed as students in this course in SP in addition to the 28-30 students that should be listed. This is the freak issue that I was mentioning above. For some reason Canvas all of a sudden had all of the instructors listed in this course so when the instructor logged in it put all of the instructors in the course. They didn’t stay in the course for long from Canvas, but because we don’t pull users out they weren’t pulled from the course. This type of info from Canvas is why we are hesitant to initiate the taking out of dropped students in SP. We were able tp delete the instructors from the course and all is back to normal. We have seen no more issues similar after resolving this issue. 2. The Exam Roster Report in RegisterBlast is not syncing correctly. None of the Proctor Notes, Student Notes, or Approved Items appear on this report. We have just put in an update that should fix this moving forward; however it doesn’t backdate any of the appointments. We are looking at a way to potentially batch update the existing appointments. Hope to have a solution to update all exams in 2 weeks. All of these appointments have been backdated and everything is now showing in RegisterBlast correctly. 3. Passwords are not syncing correctly on the Exam Roster Report. For example, HIS2213 OO8, the password is showing up correctly for some students but incorrectly for others. Please see Exam Roster Report for the Ridgeland Campus on September 17, 2015 for examples. We have just put in an update that should fix this moving forward; however it doesn’t backdate any of the appointments. We are looking at a way to potentially batch update the existing appointments.
