Approval of September Minutes.

Suggested Changes: page four open forum, item two: consortium policy on six hours. List motions/votes in bold. Buffy made motion to accept minutes with changes. Krista LeBrun second. Motion passed.

New Business A. MCCB

1. BFAC accounts - Vendor usage report: 2 colleges not using BFAC. Audra needs to know who will continue using it, won’t use it, etc, so contract can be updated. 2. ZOOM – Are there any issues? Anyone else experiencing issues like MGCCC? (NO) Did anyone get Canvas integration complete? (YES) BB will be asked to give us access to new Collaborate to try it out. Info will be coming out in a few weeks. NW and MCC did not receive email from CirQ Live for Canvas integration. Audra will follow up. 3. May/December 3 Week Terms - Last check no one was using three weeks terms and making them available to other schools. Check in to make sure that no one is planning to use them and make it available to group. May/Dec terms will not be built in ET. No one is offering them to the group. SW will use own classes. 4. SARA - Audra received notification that the state of Mississippi has submitted an application to SREB to become a SARA state. Once Mississippi is approved, SREB will announce the effective date for Mississippi to be part of SARA and when Mississippi's portal agency will start accepting applications from institutions. Audra anticipates this to be sometime in the spring or early summer of 2016. Mississippi's portal agency will be the Mississippi Commission for College Accreditation which is staffed by IHL. 5. Brooke – ELT Update - 63 training courses and webinars. 18 are proposals that need to be approved and created. Discussion of conferences for MSVCC to pay for instead of Instructurecon (expense, location, etc, has changed). Other conferences recommended in its place. MCCB has traditionally paid for 2 registrations per college, but request for action to be made that college can choose conference to attend in future (action in future, as well). Figure out best option for getting over hurdle of payment.

Action Items A. MELA Retreat 2016 - Rank dates available for retreat. Dates based on other conferences and meetings. Please respond ASAP to request.

V.

Open Forum A. USM MOA - Student had grade appeal. Wanted student/instructor to fall under USM policy and appeals process, MCC said no. Nothing in MOA regarding following MSVCC policy and procedure for USM. Suggested action is adding that to future MOA that USM follows MSVCC P and P manual. Haley makes the motion. Jennifer Leimer seconds. Motion passed.
