Approval of November Minutes.

Tish Stewart made the motion to approve the November minutes, and Krista LeBrun seconded the motion. Motion Passed.

New Business A. MCCB

1. MCCB Position Announcements Assistant Executive Director for eLearning and Instructional Technology eLearning Technical Specialist position ABE high school equivalency (training) also CTE trainer Program Specialist for Monitoring and Research Assistant Executive Director for Workforce and Economic Development 2. Grant Funding Dr. Gardner and foundation hired a grant writer. MCCB has a grant writer, but he is focused on MyBest. Looking to fund interactive and dynamic classrooms; one at each institution. Steelecase training room at MCCB is being pursued. 3. SmarterProctoring Call with Andrew prior to the break. 77k proctored exams in the fall. Number prior to last week of term, so that doesn’t account for final exam week. 1,600 via BVirtual. Overall positive experience. All instructors need to ensure exams are in Canvas and SmarterProctoring. Duplicate problem should be resolved. Working on version 2.0 to improve short comings of the product. Will have a webinar end of January or first of February on how to fill up testing center. Making a video for use of BVirtual. Students are missing steps; video will better walk them thru the process of use. 4. ZOOM Pilot Still have access to account. Basic version for free. Basic is limited to 45 minute recording and desktop storage. We can extend pilot for same price….4900 to Zoom and CirQ 1k. Breakout sessions are now available in ZOOM. RFP will be required to switch. Buffy (MGCCC) voiced problems with ZOOM network. ZOOM piloters use Ultra as well for comparison. Tell ZOOM to prove roster integration prior to moving to RFP. Motion to extend pilot made – Christa Wilhite, Keri Cole seconded, motion passed. 5. Blackboard Ultra BB contract ends Sept. 30th. No one has tested Ultra. Contract renewed on an annual basis. IM kept for Holmes only. 400K to 200k this year. IM piece is 40k. Running ZOOM and BB side by side would be about the same as the whole BB suite. Video can stream in Ultra as it can in ZOOM. Tish (Holmes) voiced concern that neither product has shown they can grasp our rosters and complexity. ZOOM piloters use Ultra as well for comparison as we move forward.
