1. RFP Process – Minimum 9 month process, most likely longer. BB Collaborate contract 234k. Expires 9/16. BB IM provided only for Holmes. 50k contract annually. Would continue with ZOOM during the process. Jennifer Leimer – Budget for the 50k to not inconvenience Holmes with a temporary solution. Tish Stewart mentions that Ive fixed files and BB is working much better and should work for all colleges. Jennifer Leimer makes motion to extend BB Collaborate Contract. Kimberly Ellis seconds. Jennifer Leimer makes motion to extend BB IM, Phyllis Johnson seconds. Motion Passed for Collaborate. Motion Passed for BB IM. 2. Program Specialist – Revamped Beverlin’s job description. Approved by the Board and should be signed off on by Dr. Mayfield. This skill set better suits the role and group’s needs. Should go public this week. Phyllis Johnson asked about Tech Specialist, and the position will remain open until filled. Lack of applicants. 3. SARA Invoice – MCCB will only cut one check, so we will be waiting for all colleges to send invoice. We can send digital or hard copy. Remind SARA rep at institution. 4. Brooke Doggett – MELT meeting tomorrow. Downtown Jackson at Barefield. There will be a Collaborate session for the meeting.

B. CTE Pilot Program – Angela Bryan Proposing to use BB, etc, to offer real time environments for CTE training. Uses Canvas to go along with the synchronous environment. Student success data for CTE courses at our institution – Why we should be interested? Lack of practice of skills in an asynchronous environment. Using some of the tools we have allows for practice and observation of students. Success rates low – possibly due to lack of interaction in the class. Voluntary Pilot. 20 person limit. May 15th deadline. 2 day face to face workshop will be required at cost of college. Needing 2 years minimum online teaching experience to participate. Colleges will set meeting times based on sectional needs. Instructors will also need to agree to complete training and be a campus resource, as well. Top Concern is registration denoting that the course will have a synchronous meeting. Spring 2017 is start date of courses. Jennifer Leimer – one of the ELC’s participating in the CTE training.
