Open Forum

A. Google and Canvas (Christa Wilhite)—Is anyone using Google suite in Canvas? Information is posted in Canvas Community.

B. Instructor of the Year (IOY) Process Change (Christa Wilhite)—Proposed changes: (1) Quality Committee will take notes while reviewing courses; results with notes will be provided to CAOs to assist in the selection process. (2) clearly stating instructors must have provided online instruction for a minimum of three years, and (3) provide a URL link to the Canvas course shell so that the committee can pull the correct course. Motion made by Quality Committee. Motion carried.

VIII.

Future Meetings

A. September12-14 – “Rising to the Challenge” MELA Retreat in Hattiesburg, MS. We will work on Strategic Planning. Committees need to meet in advance. Report on MILD Grants from last year 2017-2018. MELA meeting will be held on Friday.
