Open Forum

Disclaimer-Chris Jenkins asked that a disclaimer statement be added to the statewide list of course offerings. The suggested wording was-All courses may not be offered by individual colleges.

No Shows-Keri Cole asked when each college was determining No Shows. The topic was discussed at length. The matter was referred to the Administration Committee to create a policy.

Late Registration-Keri polled the group to see which colleges continued to register students during the add/drop period. The majority of colleges were not doing so.

E-Audit-Christian stated that the E-Audit freezes the class rosters on the 6 th week so that the audit can be done on the 8 th week. It will not be available this semester. Christian will send an email on the Friday of the 8 th week reminding the eLCs to print or email their class rosters to instructors. The instructors can sign the rosters electronically (first initial, last name, date of birth MMDDYY). Blackboard Application-Christian is still working on the project. Blackboard Mobile will be at the Creating Futures conference. Tutorials are listed on the Help & Support page. Northeast has done some testing of the mobile application on an iPad. Tests that are inside of a folder will not open.

Terry Pollard will email an updated Bb 9.1 tips sheet.

Terry reminded the group about the Student Orientation Course. Contact him if you would like access to the course for your college. Terry provided a handout about the Blackboard training that will be held in February. (Attachment 1- 1.28)

Blackboard Mergers and Updates

Blackboard has bought Presidium and Elluminate. The changes do not impact MSVCC. Upgrading to Blackboard 9.1, Service Pack 4 will improve the problems with course templates, course copy and export/import. The tentative upgrade will be between the spring and summer terms. Colleges should
