college Student Information Systems (SIS) and the Enrollment Tool. The updates will occur in a snapshot process. Christian Pruett and Beverlin Givens will create a manual. Dan Dykes, Director of Information Systems at Co-Lin, will be asked to assist. Christian hopes to create an Enrolment Tool committee with the college computer center directors which will be led by Ive Burnett. Holly Melvin moved that Christian Pruett proceeds with the creation of a middleware process. The motion was seconded and carried.

The group agreed to start sending the summer enrollment snapshot files immediately.

SBCJC Business

Upgrade Update – Christian Pruett stated that the upgrade went well. It was completed early. Blackboard has moved from major upgrades to more service pack updates. Building Block Update – Terry Pollard stated that State Board was waiting on the completion of the Blackboard 9.1 upgrade to upgrade the building blocks. More information was provided in handouts. (See Attachment)

Bb Bugs and Known Issues – Terry will email a spreadsheet of known issues with Service Pack 4.

Contract News – State Board has secured a statewide license with Smarter Services formally READI. The license with Respondus has been renewed. Christian is now working on a two year license.

State Board is still working to fulfill the US Department of Education mandate concerning online students and faculty who live in other states. Colleges have been given an extension to July 2014 as long as they can show that a good faith effort is being made to comply with the process.

Presidium Training – The training session has been set for June 16 th .

Summer Academy Course – Teaching Effectively Online and Notify Me! will be offered through the Academy this summer. Terry provided the course schedule and will email more information about registration. (See Attachment)
