seconded the motion. All colleges voted ‘yes’ to continue the contract for one year. Motion carried.

iii. Jennifer Leimer made a motion to not renew the D2L Archive Database Contract. Phyllis Johnson seconded the motion. All colleges were in favor. Motion carried. d. Developmental Math – Emporium Model – Proctored Exams i. The Emporium Model allows students to work ahead and complete more than one course in a semester. Several colleges are currently using this model for face-to-face classes. Hinds is exploring using this model online . With the Emporium Model, the MSVCC policy of ‘three proctored exams’ will need to be looked at soon for changes because it may cause implications to those emporium model courses requiring 3+ proctored exams. ii. Audra stated that each ELC needs to talk with the Proctor Center to determine if changes are made to the MSVCC Proctor policy, will each college’s Proctor Center be able to handle the additional load. 1. Keri stated that Hinds discussed buying a college license from ProctorU, so that students do not have to pay for the proctored testing. If other colleges are interested in purchasing ProctorU, it may be cost saving to purchase it as a consortium. i. Maryland has changed their rules, and every institution must pay $1,000 registration fee for Maryland student’s enrolled in their online courses. Holmes Community College received a letter because they had a student who was enrolled in an online course, although he was a face-to-face student athlete at Holmes. ii. Audra recommended that the colleges not enroll any online students from Maryland. Until we can get state authorization and SARA worked out, Audra recommends that each college put on the website that we do not enroll students from Maryland. Ole Miss does this for several states. 1. Audra e-mailed a statement that could be added to each college’s website in regard to not enrolling Maryland residents in online courses. Audra will be discussing this with the Presidents in May. Mid-term Grades i. Some colleges have received email requests from USM asking for midterm grades and other personal information for USM students. Michele Mitchell suggested that instead of e-mailing this information, we may need to consider posting this information into the Enrollment Tool. Krista LeBrun stated that releasing the midterm grade is only done as a courtesy, and is not stipulated by the MSVCC, and the integrity of student data may be challenged via email. ii. Audra stated that ELCs should go back and discuss this with their prospective colleges, then, in the May meeting we will have a vote to make the midterm grade available in the ET. g. Mini-Terms i. Control Dates e. State Authorization – Maryland Higher Ed Commission f.
