MELA Meeting Minutes 2003 - 2017

MSVCC Academy -- Brooke Doggett:

a. Academy Updates

a) Academy Participants:

a. More than 370 participants have attended Academy Courses and Webinars since January 2017 (mid-Spring 2017 semester). b) Canvas Catalog: a. Canvas is going to use our MSVCC Canvas Academy Catalog as an example to show other institutions who are looking to start using Canvas Catalog. This is a wonderful compliment, and the group was excited for Brooke and her hard work with the Catalog. c) Quality Matters: a. Jennifer Leimer (Quality Committee, Chair) and Brooke will discuss moving forward with a consortium Quality Matters subscription. If so, three colleges currently have a subscription and pay for QM out of their budget, so those accounts would be reallocated for MSVCC to cover the costs. More details to follow in an upcoming meeting.

MCCB -- Chris Ryals:

1. Chris did not present, but below are updates from Chris’ area: a) Chris has a new baby girl, and is out for the rest of the week. He is answering ZenDesk tickets when he can from home. b) MILD Grants will be sent out as soon as Chris gets back in the office, and dates will be modified. c) Look in the MELA course for ET Feature Requests and start filling it out with your ET needs before our April 11 meeting.
