Host 75%; Provider 25% (Current funding formula in use) Host 50%; Provider 50% Host 25%; Provider 75% I have attached the document handout that was presented for examples of how the funding formula affects the institutions. Unfinished Business: a. Elections: Katherine Puckett our President Elect will move into the President position. Alicia Beasley was the only nomination for secretary and she has accepted the position. The President Elect position has two nominees as seen below and a vote will need to be conducted. President for 2021-2022 : Katherine Puckett (Hinds CC) President Elect for 2021-2021 : Nominees are Michelle Mitchell (PRCC) and Joseph McKee (Coahoma CC) Secretary for 2021-2022 : Alicia Beasley (ECCC) A link to vote for President Elect is in the MELA Retreat Canvas course site. Please have your votes in by noon on Friday, June 18, 2021. Each college has one vote. New Business: a. P&P Manual Updates (Admin Committee): Dr. Hood stated the only update under consideration for change in the Policy and Procedure Manual by the Admin Committee is the date published as a withdrawal date. This was brought to the attention to the MELA group by Kim Harris of Northeast at our last MELA meeting. If the committee sees the need for a change it will be sent through the proper channels before the change takes effect. The P&P has to be approved through the APA of the Secretary of State’s office. Dr. LeBrun keeps this updated for MELA. If there are any other changes that need to be made, please notify Dr. LeBrun as she will be working on these within the next few weeks. Dr. LeBrun will share all the updates by email if anyone is interested in seeing what is being changed. Dr. Hood asked if the requested changes to the MOA had been approved by the presidents. Dr. LeBrun stated the changes would actually have to be accepted by the board with recommendations from the presidents. The P&P will reflect the most recent MOA with changes.
